Advocacy for coral, in South Florida and across the globe.
Students for Coral Preservation (SCP) is a student-powered 501(c)(3) dedicated to safeguarding the future of coral reefs through student education, community engagement and advocacy. Partnering with Diver’s Paradise—and its 40 years of PADI-awarded excellence—SCP informs, equips and empowers the next generation of youth divers with real-world tools to defend the marine ecosystem—one reef at a time. With established roots in the Southern Florida region, SCP has an additional cause to educate and to preserve around the world.
The wave of Change
Miami is replete with diverse cultures that have influenced all parts of the city. The Miami ocean is no different.
As we celebrate the many unique qualities found in the city, so too we champion our distinct marine ecosystem. The Coral District is an epithet of restoration, art, public awareness and the desire to rebuild a vital, lost resource—our coral reefs. Diver’s Paradise is the keystone, the hub to the district—with an unrelenting, tireless drive to conserve, restore and to protect our oceans. With encouraging programs and partners, such as SCP, we are excited for the opportunity to be stronger and smarter, together.
