ADAPTIVE SUPPORT DIVER
Students develop awareness for divers with varying abilities during the Adaptive Support Diver course. Adaptive support techniques and procedures will be learned—methods that assist divers who have disabilities.
ABOUT
Through two diving workshops—one in confined water and one in open water—students will learn useful adaptive techniques.
- Becoming more aware and mindful of individual considerations when diving with people with disabilities
- Adaptive skills that can be applied while diving with buddies with mental and/or physical challenges
REQUIREMENTS
Must be a PADI Open Water Diver or PADI Freediver who is at least 15 years old and has completed the EFR Primary and Secondary Care course within 24 months.
Recommended: students complete the Diver’s Paradise Peak Performance Buoyancy (PPB) course beforehand, for better trim awareness.
