Diver’s Paradise Activity Information Page
Check in for all dives and snorkel trips is 1 hour prior to departure.
- I must be able to swim, to engage in a water-based activity with Diver’s Paradise.
- I must be in good overall and verifiable health for diving and snorkeling. You must be in good overall and verifiable health to participate in any of our in-water activities. We reserve the right to refuse boarding to anyone who appears to be a significant health risk or if we would be unable to lift you from the water to our boat. - Bring a change of clothes (if needed), towel and reef-safe sunscreen for your in-water adventure with us.
- Consider motion sickness medication if you are prone to seasickness. The seas can be unpredictable; we recommend that you consider viable safeguards for your trip.
Snorkeling with Diver’s Paradise
- You must be able to swim to participate in snorkeling activities.
- All snorkeling excursion prices include mask, fins, snorkel and snorkeling vest.
- Children 8-15 are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Children 16-18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian OR obtain written permission prior to the trip.
- Sorry, no children under 6 are allowed on any of the boats.
Pregnant Passengers on the Diver’s Paradise Charter Boats
- Diver’s Paradise is not in a position to allow expectant mothers on our charters.
- Our beautiful ocean is unpredictable. We would not advise placing yourself in that situation. Bumpy rides and big waves can harm you and your child when riding in these particular boating environments. It is better to be safe because the coast guard will not always be available to assist in a timely manner.
Diving with Diver’s Paradise
All students will receive a class contract upon booking a class. The provided information is specific to your course selection. Please read and sign the contract.
All Certified Diving Guests — Guidelines for Running Trips
- Seas less than 2 feet—this is what South Florida is all about.
- Seas 2-3 feet—diving is great, but we suggest only strong snorkelers.
- Seas 3-4 feet—diving is still great, but no snorkelers.
- Seas 4-5 feet—no novice divers or students, but we will run the trip for seasoned divers.
- Seas 6 feet or more—we will not run.
- Weather conditions in South Florida are tropical and can change throughout the day. We will advise customers via e-mail with trip updates or cancellations as soon as we are sure the trip will be canceled. Please monitor your e-mail regularly during the hours leading up to your trip.
- Divers age 10 to 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Divers 16-17 must be accompanied by a parent/ guardian OR obtain written permission.
- All of our dive trips have a dive professional in the water navigating the site. If you want a private guide, we have guides by request and available on almost every trip for an additional fee.
- You are required to have or rent a dive computer on all dives to 70 feet or deeper.
- There is a captain and crew on board at all times to supervise the diving and snorkeling activities from the boat.
Food & Beverage
- We provide ice water, a selection of sodas and snacks at no charge on all our dive trips. Our boats have a large cooler with ice for you to store your food and drinks in if you prefer to bring your own.
- You may bring and consume alcoholic beverages if you are over 21 and have finished diving or snorkeling for the day. You will not be allowed back in the water after drinking alcohol.
Multiple Dive Discounts for Certified Divers
- Pre-pay for 5 trips (10 dives) and save 10% or pre-pay for 10 trips (20 dives) and save 15%.
- Multiple dive packages are non refundable or transferable (must be used by one person only) and must be used within two years.
- Taxes/fees will be added to all charters, classes and sales.
- Specialty trips such as Night Dives, Tech Dives, Spiegel Grove dives and three-tank dives have surcharges.
Cancellation Policy
- We require at least 24 hours notice prior to the check in time to change your reservation with no fee or cancel your trip for a full refund. There will be no refunds, full or partial, for trips cancelled within 24 hours, or if you do not show up.
- If we cancel your trip to due weather (wind, not rain) you will receive a full refund. Keep in mind that South Florida is a tropical environment and afternoon thunderstorms are common in the summer. These storms are usually isolated and move on quickly and will not cause us to cancel a trip.
Private Charters
Private charters are available 7 days a week.
A half-day (4 hours) private charter includes your own boat, captain and crew. Gratuity, taxes/fees, gear, guides and instruction — if needed — are additional.
- We do not offer refunds in the rare occasion that we only do one of the two schedules dives. If we abort a trip after departure prior to doing the first dive we will offer a 100% refund or you can reschedule to another trip.
- Discover scuba and refresher classes require a 72-hour notice to cancel for a refund or to reschedule without a fee.
- All scuba certification classes are non refundable. Be sure to meet the requirements for the class prior to making your reservation.
- Special trips such as shark dives, private charters and group trips require a 7-day notice to cancel.
